Organization
The governing bodies, support bodies, and administrative and technical services are responsible for directing and managing scientific research, training, and knowledge dissemination activities.
Governing Bodies
Director
Legally represents the Department in all its activities. With the support of the Deputy Director and the Management Manager, coordinates the activities of the governing and support bodies that define the strategies and manage the operations of the Department.
Department Council
It is the collegial body in which the main strategic guidelines are discussed and all decisions concerning the life and activities of the Department are deliberated. It consists of tenured professors, researchers, representatives of technical and administrative staff, doctoral students, and research fellows.

Department Council
Its task is to prepare decisions for the Department Council. Through analysis of the context, issues, and opportunities, it develops strategic guidelines and operational proposals, and implements initiatives through the work carried out by delegates appointed by the Director. The Committee is composed of the Director, the Deputy Director, the Administrative Manager, three ex officio members, and six elected members representing faculty and researchers.

Scientific Committee
The DABC Department's Scientific Committee coordinates research activities, supporting the planning, coordination, and evaluation of the department's strategic project and related investments. The Committee instructs changes to the strategic project, promotes internal and external scientific initiatives, and guides the coordinated and planned use of resources allocated to the Department for scientific aspects.
Teaching Committee
It is responsible for the planning and management of teaching activities. It ensures the assignment of courses as defined by the Schools and of the related supplementary teaching support activities. It oversees the fulfillment of institutional teaching commitments by professors and researchers.
Laboratory Committee
It coordinates and supervises the activities of the DABC Laboratory System Units, defines strategies, monitors the Experimental Units, and promotes scientific offerings. Supports the technical and administrative organization and oversees compliance with safety regulations.
Data Strategy Committee
The ABC Department's Data Strategy Committee collects and analyzes data on people, research, teaching, self-financing, and social responsibility.
Through the DABC Data Strategy dashboard, the Department monitors indicators monthly, identifies strengths and weaknesses, and defines improvement actions.
