The Department of Architecture, Built Environment and Construction Engineering contributes to expanding the educational offering of the Politecnico di Milano through undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs, as well as post-graduate courses and continuing education events
Advanced Professional Courses
Academic Offerings: Postgraduate Advanced Training Courses
Duration: One year
ECTS credits: 60
Student workload: Minimum 1,500 hours
Admission Requirements:
- First-Level Advanced Professional Courses: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
- Second-Level Advanced Professional Courses: Master's Degree or equivalent.
Degrees obtained abroad will be considered valid if they correspond to an equivalent level and curriculum within the respective education systems.
Final Exam, ECTS Credits and Degree Awarding:
The final exam must be completed no later than 8 months after the end of the teaching activities.
Upon successful completion, participants will be awarded a First-Level or Second-Level Advanced Professional degree.

Advanced Courses
Academic Offerings: Postgraduate training courses aimed at developing high-level professional skills.
Duration: More than 3 months and less than 9 months
ECTS credits: Minimum 15, maximum 45
Student workload: Between 375 and 1,125 hours
Admission Requirements:
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree, or an equivalent qualification.
Degrees obtained abroad will be considered valid if they correspond to an equivalent level and curriculum within the respective education systems.
Final Assessment, ECTS Credits, and Certificate Awarding:
The final assessment takes place immediately after the conclusion of the advanced course.
A certificate and the corresponding ECTS credits will be awarded upon completion.

Lifelong Learning
Academic Offerings: Courses, conferences, symposia, seminars, workshops, and round tables aimed at acquiring, developing, and updating specific professional skills.
Duration: Short periods, unless otherwise required
Admission: Open to anyone interested in exploring the practical themes addressed by the event
Certificate of Attendance: Issued at the end of each course
These activities offer valuable opportunities to acquire or update professional skills, enhancing employability in both national and international job markets.

Extracurricular Internships
Academic Offerings: Hands-on training in the administrative, technical, and scientific areas handled by the Department’s staff.
Duration: Minimum 2 months, maximum 6 months, with a possible extension of up to 6 additional months.
Admission Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (recent graduates not enrolled in any other university degree program).
The Department hosts extracurricular interns to train them across its various areas of expertise, providing continuous guidance through an assigned Tutor.
The training activities are carried out under the constant supervision and support of a Department Tutor.
