"Design for Circularity"

Through direct interaction with companies and professionals from the construction sector, the workshop addressed topics such as Design for Reuse, Design for Recycling, Upcycling, and Design for Disassembly, encouraging critical reflection on the role of design in reducing environmental impacts and extending the life cycle of materials, building components, and buildings.

The activities concluded with a seminar presenting the design proposals at MADE Expo 2023, providing an opportunity for discussion among students, industry representatives, and researchers. The workshop resulted in the publication Design for Circularity. Experimentation and Innovation for the Construction Sector, a collection of contributions and critical essays on the principles and practices of circular design.
