On display is part of the research carried out at the Ricci Oddi Gallery of Modern Art by lecturers from the Politecnico di Milano, with the participation of students from the School of Architecture, Urban Planning and Construction Engineering – Piacenza and Lecco campuses – and with the support of the Department of Architecture, Construction Engineering and the Built Environment, and the Surveying and Representation Laboratory at the Piacenza Campus.
The architectural complex designed by Giulio Ulisse Arata in the second half of the 1920s, its role as an exhibition space and its location in the historic centre of Piacenza constitute a case of undoubted interest for a reflection on the relationship between conservation and transformation, which the exhibition seeks to highlight as applied to this extraordinary setting.
