The project has created a scalable system of smart street furniture connected to each other as nodes in a network for collecting and processing data, transmitted and processed by a digital platform. The technological and physical components of the furniture are integrated (digital islands) and can interact with the users’ mobile terminals, allowing citizens to participate in the growth of their city (from Smart to Wiki City) and promoting greater efficiency, accessibility, and functionality of public services, thanks to the collection of information on the city’s needs in real time.
