Gambaro Matteo

Associate Professor

Matteo Gambaro (Novara, 1973), Architect, PhD, Associate Professor of Architectural Technology at the Polytechnic University of Milan (qualified as a Full Professor in the SSD Icar12/CEAR 08/C). He teaches in the Bachelor's and Master's degree programs of the School of Architecture, Urban Planning and Construction Engineering.

Career

2000, Bachelor of Architecture.

2002-2005, PhD: Planning, Maintenance, and Redevelopment of Building and Urban Systems (BEST Department).

Research

She conducts research with public bodies and institutions on technological innovation in building and urban redevelopment processes. In recent years, her research has focused on special and student housing, as well as the design and construction culture of twentieth-century Italian architecture.

Selected Publications

Author of books, essays, and scholarly articles published in leading national and international journals. In particular, the recent titles include Vivere e abitare l’università (Living and Inhabiting the University), 2020; and the editorship of the books published in the “Architecture” series of the “Alia” collection at Interlinea: Vittorio Gregotti.
