I-MAS

I-MaS (Innovative MATERIALS and Systems) offers consultancy activities for the development, testing and modelling aimed at the certification of innovative materials and/or systems for building and construction with structural applications, such as for example pre - and post-installed connection systems for concrete and masonry, structural glass elements, devices for the seismic protection of buildings (seismic insulation and energy dissipation), support devices for bridges and road joints. To carry out the experimental activities, I-MAS activated specific collaborations with the Material Testing Laboratory of the Polytechnic of Milan and with other laboratories that represent uniqueness in their scope of action, such as the EUCENTRE of Pavia. As part of the certification of innovative products and materials for construction, I-MaS collaborates with European certification bodies such as the Material Testing Laboratory of the Polytechnic, the ITC-CNR (Italy), Dibt (Germany), OIB (Austria), ITeC (Spain) and CEREMA (France).

Certification of materials and innovative structural systems

Consultancy for the certification of materials and innovative systems for construction: bibliographical and patent searches, feasibility studies and consultancy/assistance during the process of obtaining European certification.

Analysis and characterisation of materials and innovative structural systems

Analysis and characterisation of the behaviour of structures subject to seismic activity, considering innovative systems of reinforcement, dissipation and/or isolation and research on the behaviour of structural glass.
